Barefoot in the Field: A Little Glimpse into Us

This summer, we did something simple, and it turned out to be one of my favorite days. We stepped barefoot into an open field, surrounded by soft golden grass, tall trees, and the gentle presence of horses and a few curious sheep. We all wore soft neutrals that felt calm and easy, and honestly, the whole moment just breathed peace. I pulled together our outfits with comfort in mind, nothing too perfect, just tones that let the beauty around (and between) us shine. You can peek at some of the pieces I loved here.

Being barefoot felt right. The kids could run and explore, and I didn’t have to say “stand still” even once. It was just us, moving through the afternoon together: laughing, holding hands, brushing the hair out of each other’s faces. Our photographer has such a gift for catching those quiet in-between moments, the ones that look exactly how it felt.

And then there were the animals, as if the setting wasn’t dreamy enough. A little sheep wandered into a few frames (and totally stole the show), and the horses stood nearby like they were part of our story. The whole day felt like a pause button: slow, barefoot, and full of heart. I’ll treasure these photos forever.
