Coloring The Mane

Finding a beauty salon that you love can be a real task. Through the power of Instagram, I was so lucky to have found Jessica Kachmar co-owner of The Beauty Parlor & color goddess.

The Beauty Parlor is located in Dobbs Ferry inside of an historic industrial building that overlooks the Hudson River. Just pulling in and seeing the building alone will put a smile on your face – she’s a beauty! It’s just a 30 minute train ride from NYC and when you enter the salon you’ll feel like you’re on a mini vacation.

They don’t just do hair, they offer a variety of different services which can be found here.

Bonus for new clients— mention my name and you can get 15% off of your first appointment with the following stylists: Jessica, Mariana, Dom, Nelly, Ruth, Eva, Ashley, Randi, Melissa & Jillian!

A question I get asked often in my DM’s is what do you ask for when you get your color done & the answer is – “ a lived in balayage with a heavy money piece”.

In order to get that lived in balayage look, you need to understand what goes into the process, so below are the step you can ask for and expect during your next appointment!

a lived in balayage with a heavy money piece

+ a medium brown base color
+ full head of teasy highlights and lowlights
+ smudge root
+ glaze with a B3 bond builder to protect, condition, and the seal the cuticle.
