Cutting The Mane

Lauren Baxter, owner of Lauren Baxter Beauty, has been cutting my hair for five years now. I found her Arielle Charnas of Something Navy’s Instagram & knew I needed to have her cut my hair.

At the time she was out of NYC at Nunzio Saviano Salon, so I would make the commute in from New Rochelle, but it was so worth it to me! Lucky for me, she is now freelancing & making house calls in NJ, NYC, and Westchester County. For a busy mom of two young kids who can no longer make it into the city often, that was music to my ears!

Lauren comes to my house about every four months for a trim and shaping! I am often asked what I ask for when cutting my hair so here’s the formula:

+ Long layers with lots of movement

+ Piecey face framing angles

+ I always emphasize that when I put it up I still want it to look long!

In addition to being a scissor wiz, she offers and specializes in styling, bridal hair and hair extensions! Lauren was named by Modern Salon Magazine's Beauty Director, as the next "Who to Watch" stylist. Since then, Lauren has been in publications such as, Byrdie, Women's Health Magazine, Better Homes and Gardens, Fitness, People Style Watch, The Outfit, PopSugar, Refinery29 and StyleBlazer, just to name a few. Her clients include Arielle Noa Charnas of Something Navy, DJ Kalkutta, and Stephanie Liu Hjelmeseth of Honey and Silk. You can reach out to Lauren via Instagram to book!
